ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Awam Pakistan Party Convener Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said his party is making efforts to bring opposition parties on one-point agenda, urging unity in their ranks for a big aim.

Speaking at Dunya News programme ‘TONIGHT with Samar Abbas’, the Awam Pakistan Party leader said it was not necessary that opposition did politics on roads; political movement and struggle could also be carried out in the parliament, ‘so I suggest PTI to avoid doing politics of roads’.

“When there is a rule of law, all detained political leaders will ‘automatically’ come out of jails. Opposition always faces hardships and persecutions.

“The incumbent government did not have people’s mandate. If opposition is strong, the government will itself crumble. It is difficult to give a final date for the formation of a political alliance.

“The government is deceiving the masses with a jugglery of words. The country’s economy is shrinking. The man who needs correction most is the PTI founder.

“It is the government which will have to initiate dialogue with opposition parties. Today, national leadership needs national dialogue in the best interest of the country,” the former PM said.
