Amjad Pervez assumes charge as Punjab Advocate General

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Advocate General Amjad Pervez, has officially taken charge of his office.
Upon his arrival, law officers and staff welcomed him with flowers.
Speaking on the occasion, Amjad Pervez expressed gratitude to the Punjab government for their trust and vowed to take steps for the betterment of the institution. He assured that courts would be assisted in accordance with the constitution and law.
He also praised his predecessor, Khalid Ishaq, calling him a professional lawyer and noted that he himself is also recognised as a professional in the field.
It is worth mentioning that the Punjab government had issued a notification of Amjad Pervez's appointment as Advocate General Punjab a day earlier.
Amjad Pervez is known as an expert in criminal, NAB, and constitutional cases. The position became vacant after former advocate general Khalid Ishaq was appointed as a judge of the Lahore High Court.
