RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday dismissed the pre-arrest bail of opposition leader Omar Ayub as he didn’t appear before the court.
Judge Amjad Ali Shah of ATC conducted hearings on the bail plea of PTI leader in two cases registered with the Hassan Abdal police station in Rawalpindi.
However, the senior PTI leader remained absent from the court while his lawyer Dr Babar Awan also failed to appear before the ATC.
As a result, the court dismissed the pre-arrest bail of opposition leader.
It merits mention here that Omar Ayub faces charges related to protests held on November 26.
Meanwhile, the lawyers for PTI leaders Sanam Javed and Mashal Yousafzai requested additional time for completing arguments.
The court granted an extension in their pre-arrest bail while seeking arguments from Advocate Faisal Malik on March 22.
