LAHORE (Dunya News) – Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday demanded Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation, saying that there is no infrastructure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to combat terrorism.
Addressing a press conference, she criticized Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) for boycotting the parliamentary committee meeting on national security, accusing it of abetting anti-state elements.
She said that the PTI skipped the meeting solely due to its incarcerated leader's absence from the high-level security moot. She further said that the PTI founder never attended a single national security forum even when he was prime minister.
Marriyum Aurangzeb accused PTI of diverting attention from the growing spectre of terrorism by casting doubt on the performance of security forces. She warned that anyone seeking to spread chaos at this juncture would not be spared.
