ATC dismisses acquittal pleas of Faisal Javed, four others

Faisal Javed Khan's request for the removal of terrorism-related charges was also dismissed
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has rejected the acquittal pleas of PTI leaders Faisal Javed Khan, Wasiq Qayyum, and three other accused in the protest case.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra presided over the hearing related to the protest at Faizabad following former prime minister Imran Khan’s disqualification. The court announced its verdict on the acquittal requests of Faisal Javed Khan and Wasiq Qayyum.
Additionally, Faisal Javed Khan's request for the removal of terrorism-related charges was also dismissed.
Due to continued absence, former MPA Raja Rashid Hafeez was declared a proclaimed offender in the case. The court scheduled the indictment of the accused in the next hearing, which is set for April 8.
It is noteworthy that Faisal Javed Khan and other accused are facing FIR filed at the Industrial Area Police Station.
