LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered the immediate clearance of dues for public hospitals and ensuring the availability of free medicines.
She instructed the installation of electronic banners displaying available medicines and emphasized the activation of complaint counters in prominent locations. Additionally, patients will be contacted directly via telephone to gather feedback.
The CM directed hospitals to arrange proper seating for attendants and install mist fans in open waiting areas. To maintain strict oversight, she mandated daily hospital inspections.
A comprehensive checklist was approved, covering doctors' attendance, free medicine availability, lab tests, and biometric equipment. She also called for close monitoring of surgery and test waiting lists, daily audits of parking facilities, cafeterias, and wheelchairs, along with replacing worn-out curtains with blinds.
