ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking the recovery of missing journalist Waheed Murad.

The petition was submitted by Murad’s mother-in-law, Abida Nawaz, through advocates Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha. It named the Secretary of Interior, Secretary of Defense, Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Police, and the Station House Officer (SHO) of Karachi Company as respondents.

According to the petition, uniformed individuals dressed in black, accompanied by two police vehicles, raided Murad’s residence in G-8 at around 2 AM and forcibly took him away. The petitioner also claimed that the intruders misbehaved with the family.

Despite filing a complaint at Karachi Company Police Station, no case was registered. The petition urged the IHC to order the immediate recovery of Waheed Murad and take legal action against those responsible for his abduction.
