Senate Acting Chairman Syedal Khan has ruled that the senators who make speeches against the security institutions to face suspension
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Senate Acting Chairman Syedal Khan has ruled that the senators who make speeches against the security institutions, surround the dais and appear in the house with pictures of the PTI’s founder will face suspension.
Talking to a private TV channel, Syedal Khan said his ruling was neither against the Constitution nor political one; rather the Constitution and the country law demanded such step, and the PTI’s shameful behaviour was condemnable.
PTI will be warned of possible action for undemocratic and illegal behavior, and PTI will also be directed to avoid obstructing the proceedings of the House.
“PTI's shameful behavior against the state and institutions is unbearable. My ruling is not political, it was a clear requirement of the Constitution and law.
“In light of my ruling, I will write a formal letter to the PTI parliamentary leader. A copy of the letter will also be sent to all parliamentary leaders,” the acting chairman said.
No one will be allowed to attack institutions, spread conflict and chaos. The ruling will be strictly implemented. There will be no exceptions. The membership of senators will be suspended for future violations, and membership may be suspended for a long period for continuous violations, he said.
The acting chairman will write a letter to the PTI parliamentary leader on Monday or Tuesday to ensure implementation of the ruling given in the House.
