ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – MNA and former PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat has predicted in-house change in KP following the imposition of governor’s rule in the province.

Appearing on Dunya News programme ‘Tonight with Samar Abbas’, Sher Afzal Marwat said 35 MPAs had advised Ali Amin Gandapur not to resign, adding negative propaganda was spread against institutions on social media.

He said the PTI cannot settle issues with the ruling party.

“Even PTI repents, it is difficult to get forgiveness. Sohail Afridi was brought in to attack Islamabad. The current leadership of PTI does not have a mandate for reconciliation,” Marwat said.

Marwat added, “Shaukat Yousafzai had once said that Shahzad Akbar had filed a case against him. These people are defaming PTI by sitting abroad. These people are earning money by sitting abroad.”

Preparations for imposing governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are reportedly underway, with political and administrative circles considering several potential candidates for the post.

According to sources, the first name under consideration is current Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, who may continue performing his duties even under governor rule.

Other names being discussed include former chief minister Amir Haider Hoti, former defence minister Pervez Khattak, and Aftab Sherpao.

Sources also indicate that if consensus is not reached on any of these politicians, the names of retired Lieutenant General Ghayur and retired Lieutenant General Khalid Rabbani are also being considered.

The final decision is expected to be made soon as authorities aim to ensure a smooth transition of administrative powers under the governor rule.
