ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit, accompanied by a high-level delegation.

Upon his arrival in Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly received President Prabowo Subianto and his delegation.

This visit holds special significance as Pakistan and Indonesia are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations this year. It is also President Prabowo Subianto’s first visit to Islamabad.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, during his two-day stay, President Subianto will hold delegation-level talks with the Prime Minister and meet President Asif Ali Zardari, as well as the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

During the visit, both countries will engage in comprehensive discussions to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, defence, health, IT, climate change, education, culture, and other areas, and to further strengthen regional and global partnership.

It is also expected that memorandums of understanding (MoUs) will be signed between the two countries during the visit.
