AJK journalists meet Azma, minister briefs on welfare and development initiatives

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A delegation of journalists from Azad Kashmir met Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari. Secretary Information Punjab Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani and Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Sheikh Farid Ahmed were also present during the meeting.
The Punjab information minister gave the delegation a detailed briefing on various welfare and development initiatives launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Azma said that Kashmir and Pakistan are inseparable and no force can divide them. She added that the sacrifices of the people of occupied Kashmir will not go in vain and the end of oppression is near.
She stated that the Punjab government will provide all possible facilities to Kashmiri journalists and expressed pride in being part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s team, under whose leadership Punjab is gaining prominence at the global level.
Speaking about politics, the minister said that political competition should be based on performance rather than abusive language, and only those who truly serve the people deserve to move forward in politics. She said false narratives have harmed the country, while truth and performance remain the only path to success.
Calling youth the nation’s most valuable asset, Azma said young people are the top priority of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and are being empowered through constructive programs.
According to the minister, the “Suthra Punjab” project has become a world-class initiative, creating over 1.5 million employment opportunities, while 120,000 families have benefited under the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” housing scheme.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation appreciated the Punjab government’s initiatives and thanked the information minister.
