Passport department launches new real-time performance monitoring system
Pakistan
The Passport Department has launched a modern real-time monitoring system to track applications, delivery, staff performance and office rush.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Directorate General of Passports has introduced a new performance monitoring system to improve efficiency, transparency and service delivery across Pakistan and abroad.
On the directives of DG Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi, a dedicated 24/7 monitoring room has been set up at the headquarters. The system features a fully digital and integrated dashboard that allows daily operations to be monitored and evaluated in real time.
With this new setup, passport applications and deliveries can now be tracked from start to finish, both within Pakistan and overseas. From the moment an application is submitted until the passport is delivered, every step will be under close watch, leaving no room for guesswork.
The system will also automatically identify crowd levels at passport offices, helping authorities manage rush hours and improve public convenience. In addition, staff performance, passport printing processes, backlog status and machinery operations will be monitored through an advanced network management system.
Speaking on the occasion, DG Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi said the modern monitoring mechanism would further enhance the department’s performance. He added that timely identification of issues would allow problems to be fixed without delay, ensuring smoother and faster services for citizens. Officials believe the initiative is a step in the right direction and a game changer for public service delivery.
