Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan says creating more provinces in Pakistan can solve administrative and local problems
GUJRANWALA (Web Desk) - Federal Minister for Communications and President of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Abdul Aleem Khan said on Sunday that creating more provinces in Pakistan is the key to solving regional problems and would benefit everyone.
Speaking to the media in Gujranwala, he said that those opposing the move are not acting in the country’s best interest and “we must give them a fitting reply.”
He added that currently there is only one high court serving large areas, forcing people to travel long distances. He expressed support for dividing Punjab into South, North, and Central Punjab to make administration easier and more efficient.
Abdul Aleem Khan clarified that the plan does not involve renaming existing provinces. “We want Balochistan to remain Balochistan,” he said. He added that if there is a government in Sindh, having three chief ministers instead of one would not hurt anyone, and similarly, Balochistan could also have multiple chief ministers.
The federal minister emphasized that creating new provinces would allow authorities to tackle people’s problems more effectively. “The solution to many issues lies in more provinces,” he said, urging all political parties to “keep an open heart” and work together for the welfare of the nation.
