ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghaddam has thanked Pakistan for adopting a principled stance and unwavering support of Iran at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
In a statement, the Iranian ambassador said that Pakistan voted against an anti-Iran resolution at the United Nations Human Rights Council. He praised Pakistan’s principled role under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
He said that Pakistan took a courageous step by calling for a vote on what he described as an unjust resolution against Iran, adding that political and baseless actions against Iran have faced their third consecutive failure.
The Iranian ambassador stated that the 12-day aggression, externally supported unrest, and attempts to misuse international institutions have failed. He said Pakistan’s support reflects its commitment to justice, human rights, multilateralism, and national sovereignty.
Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam further said that Iran will always remember and appreciate Pakistan’s principled and consistent support.
