Nation stands by security forces in war against terrorism: Kundi

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said the entire nation stands by the security forces in the war against terrorism.

The governor paid tribute to the Balochistan government, security forces and law enforcement agencies for the successful intelligence-based operation against terrorists belonging to the Indian-backed Fitna al-Hindustan in Panjgur district, Balochistan.

Faisal Karim Kundi said that timely and effective actions against Fitna al-Hindustan are indispensable for protecting national security.

He clarified that the war against terrorism will continue with full force and the state will thwart the nefarious intentions of anti-national elements at all costs.

The governor reiterated the resolve that no attempt to sabotage peace and stability in Pakistan will be allowed to succeed and the sacrifices of the security forces will always be appreciated.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar on Saturday said that covert, intelligence-based operations are continuing in the Tirah Valley and urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to avoid what he called “false claims” about the situation on the ground.

Speaking to reporters in Kot Momin, Tarar said the federal government had taken notice of what he described as misleading propaganda related to the Tirah Valley. He added that Rs 4 billion had been set aside for families who chose voluntary relocation from the area.
