MUZAFFARABAD (Web Desk) – Rain continues in the plains of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, while upper areas remain under heavy snowfall, causing major disruption in daily life.

The capital and surrounding regions are experiencing rain, while snow has closed several key mountain roads, including Pir Chinasi, Upper Neelum, Leepa Valley, Sudhan Gali, Lissdnha, and Mahmood Gali.

Officials said the road closures have thrown daily life out of gear, with electricity and communication services severely affected in upper areas. Residents of Leepa Valley are stuck at home due to heavy snow.

According to the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), four homes were completely destroyed, while eight suffered partial damage. So far, 52 houses have been affected by snowfall.

Authorities said machinery is on site to clear the roads, and work will pick up pace as soon as weather conditions improve.
