Gul Plaza tragedy inquiry report an attempt to deceive people: Haider Abbas Rizvi

Haider Abbas Rizvi said that every effort is being made to establish a high-level inquiry commission to investigate the tragedy. He said that Khalid Maqbool has written a letter to PM in this regard.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi on Wednesday said that the Gul Plaza tragedy was the result of serious criminal negligence by the Sindh government, and added that the inquiry report was an attempt to deceive the people.
Speaking on Dunya News’ programme "Dunya Meher Bokhari Kay Sath", Haider Abbas Rizvi said that every effort is being made to establish a high-level inquiry commission to investigate the tragedy. He said that Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has written a letter to the Prime Minister in this regard.
The MQM leader further stated that a high-level committee has been recommended at the federal level. He said that the federal government should conduct a detailed inquiry under the Pakistan Commission of Inquiry Act.
He also said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has raised questions about MQM and Jamaat-e-Islami. He said that the PPP too is also responsible for the tragic incident.
