ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Following Israel-US joint strike on Iran, the Pakistan government has directed the Air Traffic Control (ATC) to closely monitor the country’s airspace.

According to sources, Pakistani airlines have been advised to avoid using Iranian airspace. The ATC has also been directed to maintain strict surveillance over the airspace of both Iran and Afghanistan.

Israel and US have carried out a sudden strike on Iran on Saturday morning, causing multiple explosions in Tehran and other locations.

Iranian media reports indicate that several Israeli missiles landed in Tehran’s University Street and Jomhouri area as part of a joint attack by the US and Israel. Reports also claim that seven missiles struck near the Iranian presidential palace and the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s compound, while smoke plumes were seen rising from the suburbs and other areas of Tehran.
