Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has summoned a federal cabinet meeting to review regional tensions, national security, internal stability and ongoing protests across Pakistan.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened an important meeting of the federal cabinet for tomorrow to deliberate on pressing national and international issues.
According to sources at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting will be held at 9am prior to the session of the Majlis-e-Shura (Parliament). The cabinet is expected to conduct a detailed review of the evolving regional situation, including escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Sources said the cabinet will be briefed on the Iran-Israel confrontation and the broader regional security environment. Matters related to national security will also feature prominently on the agenda.
The meeting will further examine the country’s internal situation, consultations regarding actions linked to Afghanistan, and the recent wave of protests against the United States.
Security aspects of the demonstrations and the government’s future strategy to maintain law and order will also be discussed. Important decisions are expected, and an official communiqué will be issued following the meeting.
