ICT Police launch grand combing operation across capital

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad Police carried out large-scale combing and search operations in multiple areas of Islamabad to enhance security and monitor suspicious activities.

According to officials, the operations were conducted in the jurisdictions of Khanna, Shahzad Town, Noon, Sangjani, and Koral police stations. During the crackdown, 599 individuals and 288 households were checked.

Police also inspected 73 shops and three hotels, while 219 motorcycles and 81 vehicles were thoroughly examined.

As a result of the operations, 27 suspicious individuals — including one Afghan national — were taken into custody for further verification. Additionally, 14 motorcycles were seized and shifted to police stations for further checking.

Authorities said special checkpoints have been established at entry and exit points of the city, while patrolling units and special squads are actively conducting surveillance across the capital.

Senior police officials were also present in the field to oversee the security arrangements and ensure effective implementation of the operations.
