(Web Desk) - The Higher Education Commission has introduced a new online system for degree attestation, eliminating the need for applicants to visit HEC offices physically.

Under the new system, applicants will now be required to submit their requests for degree verification online. The initiative officially comes into effect from May 1 and is expected to significantly reduce both time and costs for degree holders.

Officials say the digital system will also spare applicants the hassle of repeated visits to HEC offices, making the process more efficient and accessible.

Previously, physical presence at HEC offices was mandatory for degree attestation. Every year, hundreds of thousands of individuals apply for degree verification, and the new system aims to streamline this high-demand process through digitization.
