Summary Warns current tensions could lead to another Pak-India conflict
KARACHI (Dunya News) - PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said India is funding terrorist organisations for terrorism in Pakistan, warning that the current tensions with India could lead to another conflict at any time.
He said if the Iran-US conflict resumes, its effects will not be limited. The PPP leader said this while giving an interview to a French TV.
“The world will have to bear the consequences of the Iran-US conflict, and there is no military solution to the Strait of Hormuz issue,” he warned.
Earlier on US-Iran conflict, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that war is not the answer to tensions in the region, stressing that diplomacy remains the only viable path to peace and the resolution of friction between Iran and the United States.
In an interview with a British broadcaster, Bilawal said enforcing a ceasefire anywhere in the world is never easy, adding that maintaining and extending a truce is a shared responsibility of all parties. He emphasized that continued dialogue and diplomatic engagement are essential for resolving the conflict.
He noted that disruptions in oil supplies are driving inflation globally, saying Islamabad remains in contact with all sides and is working to advance confidence-building measures.
He described steps such as the return of Iranian personnel as positive diplomatic developments.
Bilawal further said recent attacks were condemnable and could undermine peace efforts, warning that aggression by any side weakens ceasefire arrangements. He added that some actions by Iran have contributed to rising regional tensions.
