ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that 11 Pakistani nationals who were aboard a plane taken into custody by US authorities have safely returned home.
In a statement posted on X, Ishaq Dar said that the repatriation of 11 Pakistanis and 20 Iranian citizens had been successfully completed.
He stated that the passengers aboard the aircraft detained by US authorities were returned via Pakistan, adding that all Pakistani and Iranian nationals had arrived home safely and in good health.
The deputy prime minister said the departure arrangements for the Pakistani and Iranian citizens were completed with the cooperation of Singapore.
After reaching Bangkok from Singapore, a special flight departed for Islamabad.

Ishaq Dar added that Iranian citizens were also facilitated in returning to their homeland through Pakistan.
He thanked the government and foreign minister of Singapore for their support.
He further said that the trust shown by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Pakistan was commendable, while appreciating the cooperation of the United States in the return of the 31 Pakistani and Iranian nationals.

He also thanked the government of Thailand for facilitating transit arrangements in Bangkok.
The deputy prime minister said the efforts of Pakistan’s foreign ministry, interior ministry, and diplomatic missions were praiseworthy, adding that the safety and protection of overseas Pakistanis remained the government’s top priority.
