Summary Veteran Pakistani journalist and intellectual Altaf Hassan Qureshi passed away in Lahore after decades of contributions to journalism and literature.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Renowned Pakistani intellectual and journalist Altaf Hassan Qureshi has passed away.
According to family sources, his funeral prayers will be offered on Sunday, May 17, after Zuhr prayers at 1:30pm at Jamia Ashrafia on Ferozepur Road in Lahore.
Altaf Hassan Qureshi was widely respected for his contributions to journalism, literature and intellectual discourse in Pakistan.
He, along with his associates, founded the Digest publication, which played a significant role in promoting informative, analytical and narrative journalism in the country.
Besides journalism, he also authored several books on various subjects during his long professional career.
It is noteworthy that Altaf Hassan Qureshi’s wife had passed away in November 2024, and her funeral prayers were also held in Lahore.
