BAKU (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz discussed mutual cooperation, investment, and bilateral relations during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Sunday.

She praised strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan during her meeting with President Aliyev.

She will represent Pakistan at the World Urban Forum and will address the summit at Baku Olympic Stadium. She will discuss Punjab’s “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” initiative at the forum.

Ealier, Maryam Nawaz began her official engagements in Azerbaijan with a visit to the mausoleum of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the capital city of Baku.

During the visit, CM Punjab laid flowers at the grave of Heydar Aliyev and offered Fateha, paying tribute to his services for the country.

She also extended good wishes for Azerbaijan’s progress and emphasized strengthening Pakistan–Azerbaijan relations.

Later, the Punjab chief minister visited the Martyrs’ Alley memorial in Baku, where she laid flowers and paid homage to the sacrifices of Azerbaijani martyrs.

Members of the delegation, along with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, accompanied Maryam Nawaz during the visit.
