Summary Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said the suspension of CNG services in KP was a violation of constitutional rights
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi met Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor House to discuss key provincial matters, including law and order, the closure of CNG stations, and wheat supply issues.
During the meeting, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said the suspension of CNG services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was a violation of constitutional rights and warned that both the wheat shortage and CNG closure were badly affecting low-income communities.
He said the province could obtain wheat from Sindh if transit facilities were provided through Punjab, adding that otherwise KP was being forced to purchase wheat at higher prices.
The governor also discussed increasing salaries and benefits for KP police personnel and directed the chief secretary to review pay structures and incentives offered to police forces in other provinces before submitting recommendations to the provincial government.
Faisal Karim Kundi also termed the hosting of the South Asia Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Conference in the province a matter of pride.
Speaker of the Provincial Assembly Babar Saleem Swati, Information Minister Shafi Jan and the chief secretary were also present during the meeting.
