KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday recommended the dismissal of two of its officials from service over alleged contacts with drug queen Anmol alias Pinky.

According to CTD sources, Constable Ali Qureshi and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Kafeel Awan were accused of maintaining contacts with Pinky over the past several years.

Sources stated that a few years ago, Kafeel Awan had arrested one of motorcycle riders associated with Pinky's drug network after which Kafeel's contacts with the drug queen allegedly increased.

The inquiry report against both officials has been completed. Last month, Ali Qureshi and Kafeel Awan were taken into custody, and their statements were formally recorded.

CTD officials further revealed that forensic examinations of mobile phones of both officers were also conducted. Details of their bank accounts were also obtained and reviewed as part of the investigation.
