GILGIT-BALTISTAN (Dunya News) – Unofficial and preliminary results of the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly have started pouring in, showing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is leading the polls with three seats.
According to the unofficial and unconfirmed results obtained so far, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won three seats, independent candidates (IND) won two, and PML-N and Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) won one seat each.
According to the unofficial results of 76 out of 80 polling stations in GBA-1 Gilgit-1 constituency, Pakistan Peoples Party's Amjad Hussain is in first place with 10,490 votes, while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Muhammad Shafiquddin is in second place with 6,245 votes.
According to the unofficial results of 27 out of 91 polling stations in GBA-2 Gilgit-2 constituency, Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Hafeez-ur-Rehman is in first place with 4,129 votes, while Pakistan People's Party's Jamil Ahmed is in second place with 2,695 votes.
According to the unofficial results of all 82 polling stations in GBA-3 Gilgit-Baltistan constituency, independent candidate Syed Sohail Abbas was declared victorious with 7,877 votes, while Aftab Haider Advocate of the Pakistan Peoples Party came in second with 7,361 votes.
According to the unofficial results of all 53 polling stations in GBA 4 Nagar 1 constituency, Pakistan Peoples Party's Muhammad Ali Akhtar won with 7,530 votes, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Muhammad Ayub Waziri came in second with 6,491 votes.
According to the unofficial results of 15 out of 32 polling stations in GBA 5 Nagar 2 constituency, independent candidate Jahangir Shah is in first place with 1108 votes, while Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Javed Ali Manwa is in second place with 838 votes.
According to the unofficial results of 77 out of 88 polling stations in GBA-6 Hunza constituency, independent candidate Neknam Karim is in first place with 5,612 votes, while Imtiaz-ul-Haq of the Pakistan Peoples Party is in second place with 4,540 votes.
According to the unofficial results of all 31 polling stations in GBA 7 Skardu 1, Syed Tauqir Mehdi of the Pakistan Peoples Party won by securing 4,337 votes, while Raja Jalal Hussain Khan of the Utsharq Pakistan Party came in second with 3,891 votes.
According to the unofficial results of all 70 polling stations in GBA-8 Skardu-2, Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen's Muhammad Kazim won with 10,474 votes, while PPP's Syed Muhammad Ali Shah came in second with 10,118 votes.
According to the unofficial results of all 54 polling stations in GBA 9 Skardu 3 constituency, Pakistan Peoples Party's Fida Muhammad Nashad won with 6314 votes, while independent candidate Wazir Muhammad Saleem came in second with 6106 votes.
