GILGIT-BALTISTAN (Dunya News) – Gilgit-Baltistan elections on Sunday concluded largely peacefully. People took part in the elections enthusiastically. Preliminary unofficial results show that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is taking a lead with nine seats in its bag. 

According to unconfirmed and unofficial results of 18 out of 24 seats so far, PPP has won nine seats, independent candidates (IND) have won six , and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) two and Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) has one seat. 

The PPP won in GBA 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 19 of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, while the PML-N won in GBA 22, MWM in GBA 8, and independent candidates won in GBA 3, 23 and 24.

According to the unofficial results of 76 out of 80 polling stations in GBA-1 Gilgit-1 constituency, Pakistan Peoples Party's Amjad Hussain is in first place with 10,490 votes, while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Muhammad Shafiquddin is in second place with 6,245 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 27 out of 91 polling stations in GBA-2 Gilgit-2 constituency, Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Hafeez-ur-Rehman is in first place with 4,129 votes, while Pakistan People's Party's Jamil Ahmed is in second place with 2,695 votes.

According to the unofficial results of all 82 polling stations in GBA-3 Gilgit-Baltistan constituency, independent candidate Syed Sohail Abbas was declared victorious with 7,877 votes, while Aftab Haider Advocate of the Pakistan Peoples Party came in second with 7,361 votes.

According to the unofficial results of all 53 polling stations in GBA 4 Nagar 1 constituency, Pakistan Peoples Party's Muhammad Ali Akhtar won with 7,530 votes, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Muhammad Ayub Waziri came in second with 6,491 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 15 out of 32 polling stations in GBA 5 Nagar 2 constituency, independent candidate Jahangir Shah is in first place with 1108 votes, while Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Javed Ali Manwa is in second place with 838 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 77 out of 88 polling stations in GBA-6 Hunza constituency, independent candidate Neknam Karim is in first place with 5,612 votes, while Imtiaz-ul-Haq of the Pakistan Peoples Party is in second place with 4,540 votes.

According to the unofficial results of all 31 polling stations in GBA 7 Skardu 1, Syed Tauqir Mehdi of the Pakistan Peoples Party won by securing 4,337 votes, while Raja Jalal Hussain Khan of the Utsharq Pakistan Party came in second with 3,891 votes.

According to the unofficial results of all 70 polling stations in GBA-8 Skardu-2, Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen's Muhammad Kazim won with 10,474 votes, while PPP's Syed Muhammad Ali Shah came in second with 10,118 votes.

According to the unofficial results of all 54 polling stations in GBA 9 Skardu 3 constituency, Pakistan Peoples Party's Fida Muhammad Nashad won with 6314 votes, while independent candidate Wazir Muhammad Saleem came in second with 6106 votes. 

According to the unofficial results of all 51 polling stations in GBA-10 Skardu-4, PPP's Nasir Ali Khan won by securing 6,582 votes, while Wazir Muhammad Khan of the Stability Pakistan Party is in second place with 4,667 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 11 out of 51 polling stations in GBA-11 Kharmang constituency, Pakistan People's Party's Iqbal Hassan is in first place with 1,607 votes, while independent candidate Shujaat Hussain is in second place with 897 votes.

According to the unofficial results of all 71 polling stations in GBA-12 Sugar constituency, Imran Nadeem of the PPP won by securing 12,944 votes, while Raja Muhammad Azam Khan of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf came in second with 8,682 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 36 out of 57 polling stations in GBA 13 Astore 1 constituency, Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Rana Farman Ali is in first place with 4,368 votes, while independent candidate Shahida is in second place with 4,312 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 35 out of 51 polling stations in GBA-14 Astore 2 constituency, Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Rana Muhammad Farooq is in first place with 4,300 votes, while Shamsul-ul-Haq Lone of the Utsharq Pakistan Party is in second place with 3,865 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 11 out of 51 polling stations in GBA-15 Diamer-1, independent candidate Muhammad Dilpazir is in first place with 1,426 votes, while Wali-ur-Rehman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) is in second place with 996 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 8 out of 42 polling stations in GBA-16 Diamer-2, Atiqullah of the Stability Pakistan Party is in first place with 1,302 votes, while Muhammad Anwar of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) is in second place with 1,069 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 11 out of 46 polling stations in GBA 17 Diamer 3 constituency, Pakistan Peoples Party's Muhammad Naseem is in first place with 2244 votes, while JUI-F's Rehmat Khaliq is in second place with 1128 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 28 out of 32 polling stations in GBA-18 Diamer-4 constituency, Kifayat-ur-Rehman of Pakistan Muslim League (N) is in first place with 4068 votes, while Gulbar Khan of the Utsharq Pakistan Party is in second place with 3736 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 30 out of 78 polling stations in GBA 19 Ghizer 1, Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Zafar Muhammad is in first place with 3,320 votes, while independent candidate Nawaz Khan Naji is in second place with 3,017 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 25 out of 69 polling stations in GBA 20 Ghizer 2, independent candidate Safdar Ali Shirazi is in first place with 2,827 votes, while Nazir Ahmed of the Pakistan Peoples Party is in second place with 2,713 votes.

According to the unofficial results of 30 out of 60 polling stations in GBA 21 Ghizer 3 constituency, independent candidate Aman Ali is in first place with 5169 votes, while Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s Ghulam Muhammad is in second place with 3195 votes.

According to the unofficial results of all 58 polling stations in GBA 22 Ghanche 1 constituency, Muhammad Ibrahim Sanai of Pakistan Muslim League (N) won by securing 9,308 votes, while Ashiq Hussain of Pakistan Peoples Party came in second with 8,052 votes.

According to the unofficial results of all 50 polling stations in GBA 23 Ghanche 2 constituency, independent candidate Anwar Ali won by securing 12,117 votes, while independent candidate Abdul Hameed came in second with 4,119 votes.

According to the unofficial results of all 46 polling stations in GBA 24 Ghanche 3 constituency, independent candidate Asad Shafiq won by securing 8,092 votes, while Pakistan Peoples Party's Muhammad Ismail came in second with 5,072 votes.
