Summary PPP and PML-N delegations meet in Gilgit to discuss government formation, political cooperation and possible power-sharing formula, with proposals to be sent to party leaderships
GILGIT (Web Desk) – Delegations of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) held an important consultative meeting in Gilgit to discuss the formation of the government in Gilgit-Baltistan.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on possible formulas for government formation, political cooperation and other key matters. It was decided that the proposals regarding the formation of the government would be presented before the central leaderships of the two parties.

The PPP delegation comprised Nayyar Bukhari, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Sharjeel Inam Memon and Nasir Hussain Shah, while the PML-N delegation included Amir Muqam and Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on national and political affairs. The PPP maintained that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan had made it the largest political party in the region and that decisions regarding government formation would be taken in accordance with democratic principles and public interest.
