Summary PML-N and PPP leaders held a meeting in Gilgit to discuss possible options for forming the next government in Gilgit-Baltistan
GILGIT (Dunya News) - Senior leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) held an important meeting in Gilgit to discuss potential government formation in Gilgit-Baltistan, according to party sources.
The high-level delegations reviewed various proposals related to the political situation and possible arrangements for forming the next government in the region.
The PML-N delegation included Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam and PML-N Gilgit-Baltistan President Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman.
The PPP delegation comprised former federal minister and senior leader Qamar Zaman Kaira, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, former Senate chairman Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, PPP Gilgit-Baltistan President Amjad Hussain Advocate, and Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the current political landscape and various options for government formation. It was agreed that the proposals under consideration would be presented to their respective central and provincial leaderships for final approval.
Further consultations are expected as both parties continue discussions on the future political setup in Gilgit-Baltistan.
