ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting on Friday to review preparations for the 9th Ministerial Conference on Women of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), scheduled to take place in Islamabad from July 12 to 13, 2026.

The meeting examined arrangements for the two-day international conference, with officials briefing the deputy prime minister on preparations aimed at ensuring its smooth and successful conduct.

The Secretary for Human Rights presented a detailed briefing on the conference programme, facilitation of foreign delegations and protocol arrangements.

Officials also updated the meeting on security measures, logistics, media management and coordination among various ministries and government departments involved in organising the event.

Dar directed all relevant authorities to make every possible effort to ensure a comfortable stay for delegates arriving from across the Muslim world.

He stressed that participants should experience Pakistan's renowned hospitality and that all organisational and administrative arrangements should meet the highest standards.

The conference is expected to bring together ministers, senior government officials and representatives from OIC member states to discuss women's empowerment, social development and cooperation among member countries.
