KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has welcomed the statement of the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) regarding Pakistan’s defence relations with Saudi Arabia, describing the longstanding ties between the two countries as a relationship built on trust, history and mutual interests.
The chief minister said the presence of Pakistani troops in Saudi Arabia was a continuation of historic defence agreements between the two brotherly countries.
He noted that Pakistan-Saudi relations had stood the test of time and were not limited to diplomatic ties but represented a deep bond between the peoples of both nations.
Murad Ali Shah said the presence of Pakistani troops under the Makkah Alliance was a symbol of unity among the Muslim Ummah. He appreciated the DG ISPR for providing a clear perspective on bilateral defence matters and highlighting the historical facts surrounding Pakistan-Saudi relations.
He reiterated that the security and sovereignty of Saudi Arabia had always remained a top priority for Pakistan. The people of Sindh and the government of Pakistan, he added, highly valued the historic and strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The Sindh chief minister further said that the development, stability and security of Saudi Arabia were closely linked with Pakistan’s own security and strategic interests.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining strong and enduring relations with Saudi Arabia and said the two countries would continue to stand by each other in matters of mutual security and interest.
