ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – State Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik has alleged that KP dysfunctional CM Sohail Afridi was supporting terrorists, claiming that evidence is available to substantiate the allegations.
Speaking on the matter, Malik said the Constitution does not specify a particular time frame for ‘lifting’ emergency. He added that the law should take its course in Afridi’s case.
The minister also claimed that Afridi was in protective custody. However, he said he did not believe Afridi was being held in a royal guest house, although he could be staying at another guest house.
Malik further stated that the relevant record concerning Afridi would be presented before the court.
Separately, the minister clarified that formal work on the proposed 28th Constitutional Amendment had not yet begun, indicating that the legislative process had not entered its formal stage.
The allegations against Afridi remain attributed to Malik, with the minister saying supporting records would be presented in court.
