Meta to test 'Community Notes' in US from March 18 using X algorithm
(Reuters) - Meta will begin testing "Community Notes" in the U.S. from March 18, using a technology developed by Elon Musk-owned X, two months after the Facebook parent decided to scrap its fact-checking program amid pressure from conservatives.
As part of the move, Meta will allow contributors to write and rate notes on content across Facebook, Instagram and Threads, it said on Thursday.
