LAHORE (Web Desk) – In 2025, the landscape of Pakistani content creation experienced a remarkable surge, with YouTube emerging as a key platform for both local and international audiences.

According to Google’s Regional Director, more than 95,000 Pakistani YouTube channels surpassed the 10,000-subscriber mark this year, reflecting a growing trend in content creation across the country.

Rising numbers

The digital ecosystem in Pakistan is rapidly evolving, with viewers’ engagement and creators’ output increasing steadily. Over 13,000 channels now boast more than 100,000 subscribers, while more than 1,000 channels have achieved the significant milestone of 1 million subscribers. These figures illustrate not only the popularity of Pakistani content at home but also its growing appeal on the global stage.

International reach

One of the most notable aspects of this growth is the international reach of Pakistani creators. More than 60% of total watch time comes from viewers outside Pakistan, highlighting the global resonance of the country’s digital content. From Karachi to Kuala Lumpur and Lahore to London, creators are building bridges of culture, entertainment, and shared human experiences that cross borders.

Farhan Qureshi, Google’s Regional Director for Business and Operations, noted that Pakistani creators are crafting content that goes beyond local audiences. “They are telling stories, offering perspectives, and producing entertainment that touches hearts across continents, redefining what it means to be a global creator,” he said.

Digital economy

The impact of these creators extends beyond views and subscribers. They are establishing sustainable businesses, creating employment opportunities, and playing a meaningful role in Pakistan’s digital economy. This creative wave is producing real cultural and economic benefits, showcasing the country’s diverse talent.

Pakistani creators produce a wide range of content, from thrilling dramas and culinary adventures to podcasts, fashion, lifestyle, educational videos, documentaries, and tech reviews. Together, they reflect the rich culture of Pakistan while engaging audiences around the world.
