Working under Project Icarus, the students collaborated with engineering education influencer Jackie Dill to create the giant aircraft using only paper and glue.
The record-breaking paper airplane features an impressive 65.75-foot wingspan and measures 23 feet in length.
The team successfully flew the aircraft during the We Make Future event in Bologna, where it covered a distance of 193.5 feet, securing the Guinness World Record for the largest paper airplane.
The achievement surpasses the previous record set in 2013 by Braunschweig Institute of Technology, marking a new milestone in engineering creativity and innovation.
