(Web Desk) - An Indian beauty content creator has set a Guinness World Record after her hair was measured at an extraordinary 8 feet 10 inches.
Renu Dhariyal has been recognised as the woman with the longest hair among living people after surpassing the previous record held by Ukraine’s Alia Nasyrova, whose hair measured 8 feet 5.3 inches.
Dhariyal said she had been growing her hair continuously since 2015. She attributed her decision to keep her hair long to Indian cultural traditions, where long hair is often associated with beauty and heritage.
“Maintaining hair of such length, however, requires considerable time and effort ,” Dhariyal said she spends several hours washing, detangling and managing her hair.
She said that she avoids chemical-based hair products and instead uses homemade oils and shampoos made from natural ingredients.
