Right to asylum is fixed in German laws and values, Scholz says
BERLIN (Reuters) - The right to asylum is a fixed component of German laws and values, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Wednesday in an address to parliament.
He spoke just before the CDU/CSU opposition conservative bloc was due to present two motions calling for heightened security measures and the closure of German land borders to irregular migration.
