LONDON (Web Desk) — A British court has officially recognized the courage of Pakistani teen Abdullah Tanoli, awarding him a cash prize for his quick thinking in saving a young girl from a knife attack in Leicester Square.

The incident took place last August when Abdullah, on duty as a security guard at a local shop, noticed an attacker armed with a knife threatening an 11-year-old girl. Without wasting a second, Abdullah stepped in and, with the help of fellow security personnel, held the assailant at bay until the police arrived.

During the hearing, the judge praised Abdullah for his bravery and swift action, ordering a public fund to award him £1,000. The court also directed that the attacker, Pun Pantaro, be transferred to a high-security mental health facility.

Abdullah’s quick response and presence of mind prevented a tragedy, earning him recognition across Britain. Since the incident, he has been celebrated as a local hero and has received multiple awards for his courageous act.

Abdullah’s story is a shining example of how a split-second decision can make all the difference, proving that heroes come in all shapes and sizes.
