(Reuters) – Security was tightening in the Swiss ski resort of Davos on Sunday ahead of the World Economic Forum (WEF) where the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza are set to be the major topics of discussions among leaders.

United States President Donald Trump is expected to attend the annual meeting of the global elite, which opens on Monday.

Organisers said they are expecting the largest US delegation ever including secretaries for state, treasury, commerce, trade and energy alongside Trump.

The WEF said that over 3,000 delegates from more than 130 countries will attend, including 64 heads of state and government, particularly from emerging economies.

The latest forum has much to discuss, from how to handle Trump's version of the Monroe Doctrine establishing US supremacy in the Western hemisphere, to the ways artificial intelligence is changing the world.
