DUBAI (Dunya News) - India have claimed their spot in the Champions Trophy 2025 final as they defeated Australia by four wickets in a semi-final played at Dubai International Stadium.

Virat Kohli played a crucial knock of 84 runs for India which strengthened his side chances for victory. He was also given man of the match award.

Also, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul played knocks of 45 and 42 runs respectively. Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa hit two targets each.

Earlier, Australia have given India target of 265 runs in the first semi-final played at the 

Steve Smith scored 73 runs and Alex Carey hit 61 runs in what was looking a spin-friendly track.

Mohammed Shami claimed three wickets. Varun Chakaravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja hit two targets respectively.

India remains unbeaten in the tournament so far. In their ODI history, the two teams have faced each other 151 times, with Australia winning 84 matches and India securing 57 victories.

In Champions Trophy encounters, India and Australia have met four times—India won two, Australia one, while one match ended without a result. In ICC knockout matches, both teams have won four times each in their eight meetings.

Meanwhile, the second semi-final between New Zealand and South Africa is set for March 5. Both teams will hold a training session today at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
