Pakistan's progress hinges on elimination of extremism: PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that prosperity is not possible without eliminating extremism.
Speaking at a special cabinet meeting making the completion of his government‘s first year, the PM emphasised that despite opposition efforts, no scandals have emerged against his administration.
He highlighted the government’s increased Ramazan relief package from Rs7 billion to Rs20 billion, benefiting 4 million to families across all provinces, Gilgat Baltistan and Kashmir.
Shehbaz Sharif also reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with people of Palestine and Kashmir, condemning the one going humanitarian crisis despite a ceasefire in Gaza.
On the economic fronts, he claimed that Pakistan has averted default and gained positive recognition from international financial institutions, despite opposition attempts to derail IMF negotiations.
