DUBAI (Web Desk) - The Indian cricket team secured their third ICC Champions Trophy title by defeating New Zealand in the final, claiming not only the prestigious trophy but also a massive cash prize.
On Sunday, India triumphed over New Zealand by four wickets in the 2025 Champions Trophy final held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Following their victory, the Indian players lifted the gleaming trophy and also secured a substantial prize.
The ICC had announced the prize money details on February 14. As per the announcement, India will receive $2.24 million (over 600 million Pakistani rupees) for winning the tournament.
Meanwhile, runners-up New Zealand will take home $1.12 million (over 310 million Pakistani rupees).
Notably, the ICC had increased the total prize pool by 53% compared to the previous edition.
