Three alleged drug dealers were killed in separate CCD encounters in Lahore’s Batapur and Iqbal Town, police say, claiming suspects were hit by accomplices’ bullets.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Three alleged drug dealers were killed during separate encounters with the Crime Control Department (CCD) in Lahore’s Batapur and Iqbal Town areas, police said.
According to police, two suspects opened fire on a CCD team near the Siphon Bridge in Batapur. During the exchange of fire, the suspects were allegedly hit by bullets fired by their own accomplices and died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Nadeem, Hayat and Ali.
In a separate incident in Iqbal Town, police said suspect Hayat, who was in CCD custody, was being taken for recovery when his accomplices attacked the police team in an attempt to free him. During the firing, Hayat was allegedly killed by bullets fired by his own associates.
Police said all three bodies have been shifted for post-mortem examinations, while further investigation into the incidents is underway.
