Punjab Police and intelligence agencies’ eight-day crackdown sees 16 more dacoits surrender, raising total to 56 in Rahim Yar Khan; operations to continue until peace restored.
SADIQABAD (Dunya News) - Punjab Police and intelligence agencies continue operations against dacoits in the riverine areas (kacha).
During the ongoing eight-day operation, 16 more highly wanted dacoits have surrendered to the authorities. Since the start of the operation, a total of 56 dacoits have given themselves up in Rahim Yar Khan district.
According to DPO Rahim Yar Khan, some of the surrendered dacoits had bounties of 5 million rupees each. Authorities confirmed that operations will continue in the kacha areas until law and order is fully restored.
