Gypsy woman abducted, raped and murdered in Jamshoro

JAMSHORO (Dunya News) - A gypsy woman was abducted, raped and murdered here on Tuesday.

On the complaint of her husband, police have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the nominated suspects.

Sindh IG Javed Alam took notice of the gruesome act and sought a report from Hyderabad DIG, with directions to initiate an independent and fair investigation into the rape-cum-murder case.

The Sindh IG ordered police to ensure protection of the victim’s family, and provide them security. He directed law enforcers to track down the culprits at the earliest.

According to an FIR, the woman was abducted from her house and subjected to rape before murdering her. Police recorded statements from the family members and collected forensic evidence to reach out to the nominated suspects.
