Summary Excise inspector is among the alleged kidnappers
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a gang of kidnappers by nabbing eight suspects including an inspector of Sindh Excise and Narcotics, Dunya News reported.
The excise inspector identified as Hamid Bashir would commit crime by wearing police uniform along with his accomplices. They abducted citizens for a short period and freed them after taking ransom money.
Police claimed to have seized four pistols, valuables and a vehicle. The suspects were arrested after a complainant recognised them and informed the police, who arrested them. Further investigation was underway. Police were conducting raids to arrest his two accomplices, who are on the run.
