GUGU MANDI (Dunya News) – Police on Tuesday claimed to have unearthed a factory of making substandard and spurious liquor and arrested the suspected owner of the unit.
On a tip-off, police raided a premises in 187 EB and arrested suspect identified as Manzoor Ahmad for allegedly running the factory. Two drums containing 440-litre fake liquor were seized.
A case has been registered against the accused. Further investigation was underway to net other suspects. The police raiding included SI Abdul Sattar, Yasir Nawaz, Majid Ali and Shabir Hussain. Spurious liquor claimed lives dozens of people ever year in Pakistan.
