RAHIM YAR KHAN (Dunya News) – Five policemen, including an SHO, were booked after a suspect in abduction and rape of a minor girl was killed in police custody in Kot Samba Police jurisdiction, Dunya News reported here on Wednesday.
The relatives of the victim staged a protest in front of Kot Samba Police Station and alleged that the policemen abducted the abduction and rape accused identified as Muhammad Amjad and kept him in a private interrogation cell.
They alleged the suspect was killed in police custody due to torture. They claimed the accused was picked from his house on July 19, accusing SHO Naqash Raza of taking him to torture cell set up on a private premises.
On the complaint of the protesters, a case was registered against five policemen under several sections including murder and abduction. They demanded strict action against the cops.
